Fringe Projection: 3D Digitizing With Highest Accuracy

The fringe projection technology provides high-end surface digitizing with extreme point density: two integrated cameras are capturing fringe patterns which are projected onto the object by the "ATOS" system - non-contact and within seconds. After image processing the software immediately calculates the 3D coordinates of up to 4 million points in each measurement.
High point density, high accuracy
From a steering-wheel up to a complete vehicle - the mobile "ATOS" 3D scanner from GOM digitizes objects with a size of 10mm up to 10m with a point spacing of 0.15 - 1mm. The system achieves an accuracy of 0.02 - 0.13mm (1:15,000 of the measuring volume).
Surface analysis, CAD comparison, reverse engineering
The high point density allows a detailed CAD analysis of surfaces, edges and primitives. In addition the software provides fast polygon mesh generation and extensive data export features (e.g. STL) for customized processing - well suited for the purposes of reverse engineering.
